FIREFIGHTER FAMILY ROOTS
In 1990, the Firefighters’ was a private club for active and retired Burnaby and Vancouver Firefighters to socialize. Soon after, we became so much more with the introduction of both Burnaby’s Public House and Burnaby’s Banquet & Conference Centre. The Banquet & Conference Centre has hosted many events over the years… from 180 people seven course plate service, to weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas parties, and almost everything in-between. Each event has been different, but very special to the client… and very special to us. Your guests are our potential clients. JAMIE LONDON, BANQUET MANAGER
Since receiving his B.C.I.T. education in the hospitality field, Jamie has worked in a wide range of service positions. In his fifteen years of Catering Management experience, Jamie has arranged over five hundred weddings and many other special events. He looks forward to working with you to ensure your event runs perfectly.
STEVEN REILLY, HEAD CHEF
Steven is a proud graduate of the V.C.C. Culinary Arts and Apprenticeship programs. These programs helped grow his passion for cooking and the service industry. Throughout his years of cooking Steven has learned to respect the food and where it’s from. This in turn led to wanting to use fresh in season ingredients whenever possible. With over Fifteen years of experience, he has catered a wide variety of events. No matter what your event will be, Steven will ensure its special and memorable.
JOHN HO, SOUS CHEF
John has been cooking professionally for over 10 years and continued to further his love of cooking through experimenting cuisines from other countries. Influenced by Italian and French style cooking, John is also well versed in Southern and Asian cuisines. Throughout many years of cooking he has honed in on perfecting his own style of cooking. This will show through the food prepared and care for every single event and occasion.

We are pleased to accommodate you in designing a menu for your next function. We provide suggestions and ideas ranging from basic buffets to gourmet full service receptions, and you provide the details. In our Banquet Guide (PDF) please find suggested menus. Ask About the Firefighters’ Outside Service!
At any location of your choosing, we bring the food and service to you! Recently, we put together a 4,500 person company BBQ and picnic. We also recently catered a six course meal for a couple celebrating their wedding anniversary with a few family and friends – at their home! Let us know your requirements, and we’ll take care of you!
